Pearled Barley Flakes are hulled pearled barley that is then rolled (flattened), similar to rolled oats for porridge. Often used as an ingredient in baked goods such as bread, muffins and cookies.
How do you use pearled barley flakes?
Try mixing it 50:50 with oatmeal for a hot breakfast (minute and a half in the microwave) use 2 to 3 times as much water as flakes and oatmeal until you find your ideal level. Or use a little bit in pancakes! Barley flakes are a good source of fibre.
These Barley Flakes Pearled are available in a range of sizes, all packed in Plastic Free packaging. We use plant-based cellulose bags for these products. Cellulose Plastic Free packaging is biodegradable, simply scrunch up to create air pockets and add to your home compost. It will take around 1-2 months to biodegrade. Or it can be added to general waste, it will break down into vegetable matter.
