The brazil nut tree is a native of South america and unsurprisingly its fruits are known as brazil nuts! As with most nuts brazil nuts contain appreciable amounts of protein, fibre, monounsaturated fats and various minerals.
Brazil nuts are a particularlly good source of selenium and you need only eat four a day to reach your recommended daily amount.
Whole brazil nuts can be quite a challenge to the teeth so you might like to break them up before sprinkling them on you cereal, or adding them to your salad!
These Organic FairTrade Brazilnuts Whole are available in a range of sizes, all packed in Plastic Free packaging. We use plant-based cellulose bags for these products. Cellulose Plastic Free packaging is biodegradable, simply scrunch up to create air pockets and add to your home compost. It will take around 1-2 months to biodegrade.
