About Walnuts Halves USA California

Walnut Halves sourced from California in the USA.

What do you use walnuts for?

Excellent as a snack, they're often in savoury and sweet dishes, to add crunch or texture. Often paired with sweet things like dark chocolate, caramel or vanilla. Walnuts can be spiced up with cayenne, sriracha or barbeque if you prefer a kick and they're also popular on cheese boards. Try roasting walnuts gently with your favourite spices and adding to dishes or simply break some up and sprinkle through a salad.

Why are walnuts called brain food?

Walnuts contain the 'good fats' and are also surprisingly high in omega-3 and 6, as well as other antioxidants. They're often referred to as 'brain food' partly from these nutrients helping protect your brain, but also because they can look like tiny brains!

These Walnuts Halves USA California are available in a range of sizes, all packed in Plastic Free packaging. We use plant-based cellulose bags for these products. Cellulose Plastic Free packaging is biodegradable, simply scrunch up to create air pockets and add to your home compost. It will take around 1-2 months to biodegrade. Or it can be added to general waste, it will break down into vegetable matter.

These walnut halves are slightly cheaper than a few alternatives - but, to me, they're just as good. I prefer the halves to the smaller pieces version - and the kids love that they look like a brain. Apparently they're excellent brain food, too - so what's not to like. Can have on their own, but I prefer to create my own dried fruit / nuts / seed mixes.

Good consistent quality buying regularly. The walnuts add something to my meals. Whether on oatmeal, yoghurt or as a flavourful addition to my savory dishes, the  texture and taste are great.

Walnut are perfect for healthy snacking. Crunchy (very fresh) and bursting with nutty goodness, theyre a real treat in my lunch box I take to work and I use in my baking too.

These Walnut chunks are a nutrition-packed marvel. Loaded with omega-3s and antioxidants, they're my guilt-free choice for boosting both brainpower and taste in my meals.

Given the chance my husband normally only eats thing from M and S but even he has to agree that Real Foods walnuts are the freshest and tastiest he has eaten

Walnuts strike the perfect balance between tastiness and healthiness. A rich, buttery flavour and great nutrition make them a morish nutritious snack.

Great freshness - crunchiness adds a bonus to otherwise boring salads and some nutrition to desserts..
