How to cook pinto beans?.
Soak overnight. Rinse. Boil briskly in fresh water for at least 10 minutes. Simmer for approximately 40 minutes until tender.
To prepare a delicious Bean sahib, follow this instruction:
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Sauté 1 chopped onion and stir in ¾ tbsp curry powder, and ¼ tbsp ginger powder. Add 3 cups cooked beans, ½ cup sultanas, 2 chopped apples, salt and honey to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes and serve with naan bread.
