Are kiwi fruit good for you?
Kiwis have nutrients including vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin E, folate, and potassium. They are also packed with antioxidants and are a good source of fibre. Their small black seeds are edible, as is the fuzzy brown peel, though many prefer to peel the kiwi before eating it.
How do you eat kiwi fruit?
Just wash the fruit and rub off the fuzz exactly as you would for a peach. Try cutting the kiwi in half and scooping out the green flesh with a spoon. Or you can peel the whole fruit with a sharp paring knife and cut it into slices or wedges, if you want a slightly more elegant display. Try fresh kiwi on breakfast cereal, pancakes, yogurt and ice cream, or as a topping on green salads. If you’re using kiwis in fruit salad, add them at the last minute to prevent the kiwis from getting overly soft.
These kiwi fruit are sold loose, we will often pack them with a waxed brown paper bag to protect them in transit.
